We at KC Scottish Terriers are Natural Rearing breeders of Scotties. What is Natural Rearing and what do we require of our puppy buyers? Natural Rearing is raising Scotties in the most natural environment possible. This entails feeding a species appropriate diet. No chemicals are to be used on the dogs, fed to the dogs or in the dogs environment. Only natural flea, tick and heartworm treatments are to be used. Scotties, especially our NR puppies, are high energy dogs who need room to run and play, so a fenced yard is an absolute must, to have a healthy, happy Scottie! We believe pets raised Naturally will have a better chance of living longer, healthier lives.
We practice holistic health care, our Scotties are cared for by holistic veterinarians. Although there are many Natural Rearing Breeders we are the only Scottish Terrier Breeder to follow a strict regime to raise Scotties in a Natural environment which does not include, c sections or Artificial Insemination as a typical practice, does not include conventional vet care, drugs, neutering or any other invasive procedure unless in a life threatening situation.
We support our puppies and puppy buyers throughout the life of the Scottie. We are available 24/7 to answer questions and concerns about our Scotties. We will take back any of our Scotties for any reason throughout the life of the dog. We do home checks and personally deliver our Scotties. To learn more about Natural Rearing, AuNaturelk9's is a yahoo group of breeders and caretakers who live with and love every breed of canine, and who have found our way back to Nature regarding the care of our pets and ourselves. Natural Rearing and holistic living is a way of life we have embraced.
We are planning a litter for the fall of 2008. The dam will be our beautiful Black Scottie Brigid. Brigid came from Mountain View Kennels and has been raised NR since she was 7 weeks old. Brigid is a sweet charming Scottie who was born 9/19/2005. Brigid is typey, wonderful temperament, healthy and will make a wonderful mom dog.
The sire will be our delightful Red Wheaten, McMillian who is from one of our own NR breeding's. McMillian was born 4/25/2005. McMillian is typey, a strong Scottie boy who loves to play, run and is a real love bucket!
